Hyderabad: Two including B.Tech student held in Saidabad vandalism case

Hyderabad: The Saidabad police have succeeded in cracking the case of vandalism in which eight cars were damaged, two accused including an engineering student were arrested this morning. The police concluded that the accused resorted to mischief as they were in inebriated condition.

23 year old Nori Venkata Santhosh Sai Saran Prasad an B.Tech final year student a resident of Kanchanbagh studying at an engineering college at Machilipatnam along with his friend Bathula Laxman 23 years who runs a Tiffin centre at Santoshnagar allegedly went on a spree of damaging eight cars in Laxmi Nagar and Indraprastha colony on November 13 midnight.

The duo consumed liquor at Balapur area and came to drop their friend P Vishnu Vardhan Reddy of Laxmi Nagar colony Saidabad, while returning Santosh and Laxman on riding their two wheeler started damaging parked cars. The whole mischief was captured in a CCTV that was present in the vicinity. The police after analyzing the footage picked up the suspects and upon interrogation they reportedly confessed to crime.

Two cases were registered by the Saidabad police station under sections 448 (Punishment for house-trespass) and 427 (Mischief causing damage) IPC. The police recovered the two wheeler which was used in commission of the offence.

“We have arrested two accused responsible for the vandalism in the area, since they were in drunken condition they wanted to have fun and resorted to crime” said Inspector Saidabad K Sattaiah.
