Indian equities open lower on Tuesday’s morning trade

Mumbai: A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Tuesday opened lower and was trading at 25,828.33 points some 30 minutes after the opening bell.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading lower at 7,845.80 points, with a loss of 3.45 points or 0.04 percent.

The 30-share Sensex opened at 25,740.52 points, against the previous close at 25,819.34 points.

At 9.45 a.m. it was ruling at 25,828.33 points, with a gain of 8.99 points or 0.03 percent.

Although trading commenced at lower points, the Sensex rose quickly to touch 25,786.66 points within three minutes of trading and at 9.30 a.m. it touched 25,825.37 points.
