Ahmedabad: A three-year-old girl fell into a borewell at Juna Ghanshyamgadh village in Dhrangadhra taluka of Surendranagar district this evening, a district official said.

A local rescue team and a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been called in from Ahmedabad to save the girl, District Collector Udit Agarwal said.

“The girl slipped 100-feet down into the borewell, which was dug up by an individual to draw underground water.

The incident took place at around 7 PM,” he said.

The borewell was around 100-125 feet deep and the girl is believed to be stuck at a depth of 100 feet.
