Infrastructure for quality education in Govt schools: Dy CM

Schools and colleges in the State will be fully equipped with all basic facilities and infrastructure, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari has stated.

At a program in Warangal district here, Srihari vowed to introduce English medium in government-run schools to ensure that the students excel in the subject besides focusing on improving quality and standards. He flayed the previous governments for ignoring to develop schools and institutions which need a thorough revamp across the State. “Of course, we are expediting the process of providing them all the needed facilities and to introduce English medium in Nursery level from the next year”.

The State Government was committed to offer the best education and spending a whopping Rs 5,000 crore for remodeling the schools and institutions with facilities and equipment and also offer job opportunities to 7,500 persons. “We have launched 250 Gurukul schools this academic year in a prestigious manner as part of the KG-to-PG scheme – the flagship program of the government. Our ultimate intention is to see that the poor students get free and intensive education and surpass others”, Srihari stated.  (NSS)
