Inspiring figure: Amrina Kasim daughter of Nagpur Court peon becomes Judge

Nagpur: Amrina Kasim, 25, daughter of a Nagpur Court peon, Ghulam Pathan, a class-IV staff in the judiciary has appeared for the competitive examination for becoming a magistrate which was held in April 2015. She accomplished her dream and cleared the examination in first attempt itself.

She was attracted towards this legal profession and completed her 5 year law degree from Dr BR Ambedkar College of Law in 2011. Under the supervision of former judge turn advocate Shyamnayan Abhyankar she started practicing also. He even guided her for Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) selection test.

A programme was organised by the District Bar Association in Nagpur to felicitate the newly-selected judicial officials and their families.

The senior members of city’s judiciary appreciated her on her success,who were present during the felicitation. She is going to take her charge as one of the JMFCs in the Bhandara court later this month.

Amrin gives all the credit to her father and proudly says that her father used to talk to her mostly about examinations and results, than about marriage proposals.

In spite of being a peon, he did his best to provide his daughter with the best education and all possible assistance to make her an inspiring figure of the nation.
