Hyderabad: Irregularities and willful appointments and transfers prevail once again in Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Following the footsteps of their predecessors, the present authorities are taking retaliating actions and appointing candidates of their choice. University staff had hoped that following the appointment of new vice chancellor the situation would change but it seems that the influence of ex-Vice Chancellor is still prevalent and the present Vice Chancellor has prepared a group of his supporters around him who back every decision taken by him and transfer the staff to other states who point out to the violation of rules.
According to sources the present Vice Chancellor Dr. Aslam Parvaiz who enjoys support of BJP government at the centre, has recently made 6 such appointments for which no notification was issued. Interestingly a person was appointed on the post of Controller of Examination of the university without notification. Joint Action Committee of the staff had presented several demands before Vice Chancellor’s arrival at the university. They had identified such persons who are holding key posts despite violating rules. Vice Chancellor earlier assured to take action against them but later he promoted persons belonging to Joint Action Committee.
According to sources Registrar who belongs to Delhi plays important role in all decisions taken by Vice Chancellor. Violating regulations, two assistant professors and two associate professors of polytechnic were transferred to Bangalore and Darbhanga (Bihar). This revenge was taken because the said staff had made complaint to the authorities against the inhuman attitude of polytechnic principal.
