Issue of Haj application forms from Monday

Prof. S A Shukoor, Special Officer, Telangana State Haj Committee, has advised the District Haj Societies to properly guide the aspiring Haj pilgrims for filling up of Haj Application Forms in a proper manner.

Addressing a meeting of the officials of the District Haj Societies in his chambers at Haj House, Nampally, today, Prof. Shukoor said Haj Forms will be issued and accepted from January 2 to January 24, by the State Haj Committee. The forms can be downloaded from www.hajcommittee.gov.in and can also be downloaded on Android Mobile App “Haj Committee of India”.

 

The Special Officer informed that this year Haj will be on August 31 and Haj flights will start from July 25 in two phases. The Haj pilgrims would be provided accommodation in two categories in Makkah. The pilgrims, who opt for Green category would not be allowed to cook their food by Saudi Authorities, he said, adding that the pilgrims under two Reserved categories would be selected without Qurra (Draw of lots), and for selection of pilgrims from the General Category Qurrah would be held in the first week of March. He said the Telangana State Haj Committee has made elaborate arrangements for issue and receipt of the Haj Application Forms throughout the State. Haj aspirants should possess Indian Passports issued on or before January 24 and should be valid up to February 28, 2018, he added.

Prof. Shukoor said at a meeting Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will release Haj Application Forms (HAF) at 11.30 am on January 2 at Haj House. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries will attend the program. Office-bearers of the District Haj Societies from all the 31 districts from Telangana participated in the meeting. (NSS)
