Johannesburg : It was Janet Jackson’s mother, Katherine, who encouraged her to go through the risky pregnancy.
It is being said that the 49-year-old singer, who is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana, was advised to take steps to start her family before it was too late by her 86-year-old mother, Channel, 24 reports.
An insider revealed that Katherine told her daughter, “You cannot afford to wait too much longer. I was already a grandma at your age.”
Interestingly, the ‘Rhythm Nation’ hit-maker’s mother is said to be “thrilled” over Janet’s pregnancy as this baby will make her a grandmother for the 28th time.
The mother-to-be, Janet, is in her second trimester of pregnancy and she and the 41-year-old Qatari billionaire have been working with a fertility specialist for a while.
