Kadiam adopts Parvathagiri for development

In what is called a significant development, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Sunday adopted his own village Parvathagiri in Warangal district. Srihari alleged that 69 years of independence could not develop the villages which are deprived of basic amenities.

The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking to mediapersons after making rounds to his Paravathagiri village on Sunday and took stock of the problems and issues to be settled. Stating that he was adopting his own village, he promised to develop it into a shining village in future. “Every village should achieve growth as that of Gangadevipally in Warangal district. Our efforts are in that direction and developmental works will continue”, he said. He also called upon the rich, industrialists and philanthropists to adopt villages for speedy progress.

“Our ultimate aim is to provide all basic amenities to villages to shine as part of Grama Jyothy – the flagship program of the State government. We are adopting the villages to make them abundant with all the facilities such as water, power, roads, schools, education, health and others, the deputy”, the Deputy CM added. (NSS)
