Amid the controversial statements issued by various BJP leaders after Kanahiya started raising voice against Poverty and injustice to Dalits, another BJP MLA from Indore, Usha Thakur attacked Kanahiya saying “Kanhaiya Kumar raised anti-national slogans because his mother failed to teach him about patriotism”.
Speaking at an event organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Indore, the MLA said that “An individual becomes a terrorist, traitor or naxalite because of his mother’s negligence”.
“Mother is responsible for upbringing of her child. If she fails to nurture patriotic values in his heart then she is to blame. If an individual becomes a terrorist, traitor, or Maoist, his mother should be held responsible,” she said.
Usha Thakur has made several controversial statements in past. Earlier, she courted a controversy by saying Muslims should sacrifice their sons instead of goats on Eid-ul-Adha.
