Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao today alleged that chief ministers of both Telugu States were vying to get publicity in the name of Rio Olympics Silver medal winner P V Sindhu.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, VH advised Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao to encourage the talented sportspersons by recognizing them and by giving top priority to sports not only when sportspersons get medals. He urged the both State governments to encourage the tribals in gymnastics. Demanding that both the governments allocate Rs 10,000 crore to sports, VH suggested that the governments establish many sports academies. (NSS)
