KCR has scant respect for Ambedkar: Mothkupally

Criticizing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not inducting any member belonging to Mala and Madiga in his cabinet, Telangana TDP leader Motkupally Narasimhulu today alleged the latter has no respect on the Constitution authored by Dr B R Ambedkar.

Speaking to the media at NTR turst bhavan along with other leaders, Motkupally alleged that the KCR cabinet alone has no representation of woman in the country. He said by not including any Dalit and Madiga members in the cabinet, KCR was encouraging untouchability.

Stating that KCR has no respect for Ambedkar policies, he said, “Just by installing statues you can not pay real tributes to Ambedkar. KCR should first induct a Dalit in his cabinet”, Mutkupally said. He said KCR had no time to garland the statue of late Jagjivan Ram and he also did not participate in Jyothirao Phule Jayathi celebration.

Condemning the “negligent” attitude of KCR towards the Dalits, he said “We are organising one- day protest tomorrow at NTR ghat, he said, adding that a protest rally would be organised from Ambedkar statue on Tank bund to NTR ghat. Motkupally called upon people, Dalits, intellectuals and others to participate in the rally. (NSS)
