Kishanganj tensed after Nayeem found dead in police custody

Kishanganj (Bihar): Curfew has been imposed in Muslim dominated Kishanganj, Bihar after Mohd Nayeem alias Jugnu was found dead in police custody.

According to a report published in Muslim Mirror, Nayeem was a resident of Gaziabad (UP) but presently living in Potia Chatragast in Kishengunj was missing since one month along with a girl who was from Gaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.

The girl’s parents lodged a missing complaint with the police. Following the complaint, UP and Bihar police in a joint operation traced the couple on Friday.

The girl was handed over to the parents whereas Nayeem was kept in the police custody and was found dead in the morning, which sparked violence.

The situation turned tense when the clashes erupted between two communities and locals attacked the police station leaving two policemen wounded. Later curfew has been imposed the situation is said under control.
