Kolkata: Bomb scare near Kudghat metro station


Kolkata: The car, bearing a registration number of Andhra Pradesh was abandoned since three hours, when locals informed the police.

Immediately, a bomb disposal squad and dog squad from Lalbazar – Kolkata Police headquarters were rushed to the spot.

Police have cordoned off the area and kept the locals out of the vicinity. The adjoining shops next to the car that was abandoned were closed.

Meanwhile, bomb disposal squad officials broke open the window panes of the car and took out two bags that were present inside the vehicle. However, they did not find any explosives. Clothes and some accessories were found inside the bag.

The police announced that no bomb or any kind of explosives were found inside the car and have managed to trace the owner of the car.
