Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Thursday directed the officials to work on Fiber Grid project along with laying of pipelines for Water Grid project.
Addressing a review meeting with senior officials on Mission Bhagiratha, KTR said that the works on Water Grid and Fiber Grid could be taken up simultaneously. He said that the State Government would call for Fiber Grid tenders in the next two weeks. He said the Fiber Grid would bring internet connectivity to all villages across Telangana State.
The minister said that all households in Ranga Reddy and Medak district would get tapped water supply by this month. He said rural areas in Nizamabad, Khammam and Ranga Reddy district would get internet connectivity through National Optic Fiber Network in coordination with Central Government. (INN)
