Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao has expressed concern over the death of two labourers while cleaning a manhole at Boggulkunta near Ramkote on Sunday.
The minster, on Monday, assured that the State Government would provide required financial assistance to the families of victims, Veera Swamy and Kotaiah. He directed the officials to register a case of criminal negligence against the contractors who engaged the two labourers. He also spoke to Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board managing director over phone about the incident.
KTR directed the officials to use only machines to clean the drainages. He said that the families of both the victims would be provided assistance under Apat Bandhu Scheme and also through the HMWSSB. (INN
