KTR favours Industries at villages

Mining department has fetched a revenue of 2778 cr during 2015-16 and the government has set a target to reach Rs 4000 cr revenue for 2016 fiscal, IT, Mining and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has said.

Unveiling the annual report of the industries department, the minister vowed to expand the Industries and companies to districts and villages for growth of the people. He gave away permissions to 25 companies that will invest Rs 2,374 cr and provide jobs to 5799 persons in various districts. Speaking on the occasion he said that construction industry should make use of rock sand as it facing a shortage in actual sand. We have plans to take steps for the welfare of the workers in mining sector. A number of industries, businesses, IT and IT enabled companies are confined to Hyderabad so far and will be expanded to villages and towns just to provide jobs and increase productivity he said adding that the previous policy was redundant. The plan is to encourage new industries and companies to set up their shops at towns and villages and provide jobs and employment opportunities to the local talent and unskilled persons KTR asserted.

The Government is ready to support such companies and industries to get permissions and facilities in short span of time, he added. KTR also evinced keen interest in electronic sector which needs boost in the state. Telangana Government will work in collaboration with Taiwan, Japan and South Korea in the electronic sector he stated. The industrial policy is fetching laurels from across the world and attracting huge investments he claimed. (NSS)
