At Silicon Valley in US, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao today held crucial meetings with top-notch companies like Intel, Flex, Cloud Era, Global Poundris and noted venture Capitalist Ram Sriram and others and urged them to invest in the youngest state.
During his meeting with Intel group President Stacy Smith and CFO, Robert H Swan, the minister informed that there are ample opportunities to invest in Telangana which is abundant with talent pool, facilities, infrastructure, noted educational institutions and hassle free policies of the government. These factors will prove handy for Intel to come and invest in Hyderabad wherein world class giants like Google, Apple and others he said. KTR appealed to Intel to consider to invest in Telangana as part of their expansion plans in India followed by a call from Make in India from the Centre.
The IT Minister also closeted with Plex Limited company President Dag Brit and explained about electronic policy and the new industrial policy of the government which is giving all permissions in just two weeks. Several states and the Centre appreciated this initiative to offer the hassle free permissions to companies, businesses and industries to set up shop he said. He extended all cooperation for the company to set up an electronic manufacturing plant and another unit at the forthcoming medical devices park in Telangana. In turn, Brit informed that they have already gone through the schemes at others states and Telangana policy is awe-inspiring to set up shop. He also promised to work in tandem with the state government and work with T Works project, set up their sister concern Nex Tracker lab in Telangana to work on PV, solar, storage sectors for new products and manufacturing and design.
Interacting with Cloud Era team KTR said that there is ample scope to work with Telangana in cloud computing, data analytics as the government is giving boost to offer seamless services. Since priority for data analytics is increasing in government and private sectors Cloud Era can open an excellence center in Hyderabad he said. KTR informed to Global Poundris CEO Sanjay Jha and informed about T Works, designs and products research. When he appealed, Venture Capitalist Ram Sriram said that he will make a visit to T Hub during his tour in Sept a press release said.
