KTR woos investors to come to Telangana

Minister KT Rama Rao today participated as the Chief Guest in the 4th Injection, Blow Moulding and PET International Summit 2016 held at Mumbai. A total of 600 industry leaders from the Plastics, Plastic moulding, Packaging, Chemicals and Petrochemicals sectors from India and abroad participated in the event. The Minister also participated in various other meetings and met a few industrialists and invited them to the Telangana State to invest in various sectors.

 

The main theme of the Minister’s speech was “Creation of a new State and Vision 2020”. He highlighted the inherent strengths of Telangana State in the area of IT & Electronics, Pharma and Life Sciences and Aerospace among others. The Minister elaborated the efforts of the State government to transform Telangana as the most investor-friendly State by improving the Ease of Doing Business, launching TSiPASS, providing 24/7 uninterrupted power supply and also preparing a ready to occupy land bank.

 

The minister told the audience that the State government was planning to start a Plastic Park in 100 acres in Phase 1 in Sultanpur and another Integrated Plastic City in Phase II in an area of 300-500 acres in Medak NIMZ park. KTR said the State presents several inherent advantages to plastic industry in view of emerging demand scenario. The minister also highlighted the incentives and set of common facilities the Plastic Park will have for the investors. The presentation made by KTR was highly appreciated. He was given a standing ovation by the audience.

 

The Minister also met RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and took up issues relating to access of bank funding in MSME sector and issues therein. He briefed the RBI Governor about the Industrial Health Clinic the State plans to set up. (NSS)
