Telangana JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram has demanded that the State government reveal the names mentioned in the seized diaries of slain gangster Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Prof. Kodandram said police have seized diaries of Nayeem and names mentioned in it should be made public. It was unfortunate that political leaders and officials had links with criminals. Demanding a comprehensive probe into the nefarious activities of Nayeem, he said cases should be registered against those who had links with the slain gangster.

Stating that lands of farmers should not be acquired forcibly for Mallanna Sagar project, Prof. Kodandaram said Land acquisition Act of 2013 should be implemented. “If injustice was not done to people, courts would be approached. The government instead of keeping a vigil on JAC, should monitor the activities of criminals, he added. (NSS)
