Mamata may attend UN meet in Netherlands

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said she was considering visiting the Hague, Netherlands, in June to attend the UN Public Service Day on an invitation by the United Nations.

“Today I have been invited to attend UN Public Service Day and highlight achievements of West Bengal in public services,” Banerjee said at the state secretariat.

“The United Nations Public Service Award is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service,” she observed.

The UN General Assembly has designated 23 June as Public Service Day.
