MANUU lethargic in procuring lands for campuses in Bihar and Kareem Nagar

Hyderabad: It seems Maulana Azad National Urdu University has no interest in extending its campuses in various parts of the country. Govt. of Bihar allotted 6 acre land for the university campus but no correspondence was made so far.

UP Govt. agreed to allot 12 acres of land with the special interest taken by Chancellor, Mr. Zafar Sareshwala but university authorities are not showing any interest in it. Mr. Vinod Kumar, MP of Kareem Nagar played an important role in getting 5 acres of land at Kareem Nagar from the municipality. He himself had approach the university but so far university has not taken possession of this land.

VC appointed many persons recently but chancellor was not informed. When chancellor invited the attention of university authorities to reinstate an Asst. Professor but VC did not take any action. In another case a professor was reinstated despite a case pending against him in the court.

Mr. Zafar Sareshwala had started campus recruitment center which has become defunct. He had also arranged meeting with 7 MNCs for selecting 50 students of MANUU. Reliance had offered university students to visit its refinery at Jamnagar, Gujarat but this program did not materialize. This only shows that MANUU has no interest in extending its activities.
