Markets in positive range on Wednesday morning

Mumbai: The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday after opening at a lower note soon recovered and went on an higher plane during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 28,345.49 points soon shot up and touched a high of 28,416.41 points and a low of 28,323.32 points.

On September 12, the Sensex closed at 28.353.54 points. The markets were closed on Tuesday owing to Eid.

The Sensex is trading at 28,391.53 points, up by 39.89 points or 0.14 per cent.

On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,710.65 points after closing at 8.715.60 points on September 12.

The Nifty is trading at 8,732.90 points in the morning.
