Marri Shashidhar slams KCR utterances

Condemning Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for describing Congress leaders as “Daddammalu , Sannasulu, Chavatalu” at Warangal public meeting, former Minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy has alleged that KCR was talking as if he alone achieved the Telangana state.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Marri said that the people would understand the efforts of the Congress party’s MPs and AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi’s determination in according the separate Telangana state. He said that KCR was not ready to face the challenge of open debate thrown by the Congress leaders. He alleged that the Chief Minister tried to huge loot in the name of projects redesign and said that the government was going to spend Rs.5.5 lakh per acre for the sake of Kaleswaram project.

He questioned the state government whether this much of expenditure needed for single crop under Kaleswaram project that too in kharif season. He asked whether he doesn’t know the fact that the Rajastan government providing water for three crops spending mere Rs.7,000. He also asked the Chief Minister whether he doesn’t know the fact that the irrigation water was supplying for the last 15 years through Kohir project in old Medak District with less expenditure. He alleged that KCR turned as a dumb who have eyes and said that the latter’s wrong figures on irrigation projects would be taken to the people. (NSS)
