MBT claim illegal temple’s construction in Indira Priyadarshini College

Hyderabad: Tensions are rising on Indira Priyadarshini College Campus where some miscreants are constructing a temple in the premises.

Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) members claim that a new temple is being constructed illegally in the college premises located at Nampally which will disrupt the communal harmony in the educational institution.

However, the police claim that there was already a temple existing in the area for several years and that it is now being renovated.

Amjed ullah Khan MBT spokesperson alleged that some people are constructing a temple in the premises of the Indira Priyardarshini College where a high school and intermediate, degree, high school, polytechnic college functions.

“Some anti socials are constructing a temple in the premises for last three days and aim to spread unrest in the educational institution,” he said.
B. Srinivasa Roa, Begum Bazar Inspector when contacted to comment said they have enquired

When contacted, B Srinivasa Rao, Inspector of Begum Bazaar, said that they had inspected and inquiries into the matter lead to the findings that there was a temple in existence for several years.

Inspector said the temple committee members were only renovating the temple since the water was entering the premises.

“We insisted that they only raise the wall to the height of the grill and they obliged. Local public representatives also visited the place in our presence” Inspector Rao added.
