Medical exhibition for school students at AIIMS

New Delhi: The social wing of AIIMS Students’ Union, Parivartan, is organising an exhibition to showcase anatomical and pathological specimens, medical equipment and common surgical instruments for school students.

The exhibition, titled ‘Catalyst-Iota, 2016’, will be held at AIIMS on April 29 and 30.

“The objective of the exhibition is to inspire high school students to take up the noble profession, keeping in mind the immense shortage of doctors in India (7 doctors per 10,000 population),” said Ritvik Chekuri, Chief coordinator of the programme.

As a part of the event, seminars will be held by toppers of AIIMS and IIT entrance exams. The entry fee for the event is Rs 250.

The amount collected will be used by ‘Parivartan’ for improvement of primary education and medical facilities at an orphanage in Chhattarpur here.
