Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali called on Union Home Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh and apprised him of the anxiety of the Muslims of the country about the implementation of Uniform Civil Code. He requested the Home Minister not to take any action which interferes in Muslim Personal Law. During his visit in New Delhi, Mr. Mahmood Ali briefed Mr. Rajnath Singh about the cases regarding divorce and polygamy among Muslims. He told him that Central Govt. is trying to create an atmosphere for the implementation of Uniform Civil Code. He apprised him of various meetings held in Hyderabad wherein it was asserted that Muslims cannot tolerate any change in their personal law since these are not manmade they are according to Allah (SWT) and the traditions of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
