Government of Telangana will start commercial operations of Hyderabad Metro Rail’s first phase from June 2, on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day. A total of 20 km which is complete is likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Minister for municipal administration and urban development K.T. Rama Rao said on Thursday that all the required works, including tests and trials and certifications for the Metro, would be completed by then. The first phase includes Stage-1 from Nagole to Secunderabad railway station (about 9 km) under Corridor-III and stage-2 from Miyapur to SR Nagar (11.9 km) under Corridor-I.
Government of Telangana is busy luring foreign investors. Thus the government has started steps to bring the Prestigious World Trade Center to Hyderabad. It is planned to set up offices of trade centres from 100 countries at WTC.
