Mini Cinema theaters at bus stations to generate income

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has proposed to setup mini cinema theaters for 150-200 persons in order to generate income. Such stations are proposed to be established at Kukatpally, Midhani and Ibrahimpatnam bus depots. This proposal has been submitted by film distributors, producers and a private agency to Govt. it is likely that TSRTC may start a theater at Patancheru bus station on experimental basis. Bus passengers may enjoy seeing films while waiting at the bus station. The permission could be given only after making amendments in State Cinematography act. A sub-committee of the Minister is reviewing this proposal. It is expected that Mr. KCR will explore the possibilities of this project in a meeting proposed to be held this week with the officials of TSRTC. It is a move to help RTC to recover its losses.
