Minor fire breaks out in Parliament annexe building

New Delhi : A minor fire, which broke out in room number 212 of the Parliament annexe building on Sunday afternoon, has been put under control.

About eight to 10 fire tenders were rushed to the site and fire-fighters battled the blaze. However, the cause of the fire has still not been ascertained. No casualty was reported.

“Fire was contained to only one room. The reason of the fire can only be ascertained after investigation,” Sanjay Tomar, Fire Officer told the reporters.

The fire had led to heavy smoke which filled the corridor of the building. (ANI)
