Muzaffarnagar: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two youths at Mukanpur village here following which the accused threatened the victim with dire consequences if she informs anyone about the incident, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim’s brother, the girl had gone to the fields yesterday, when two youths identified as Latit Kumar and?Amit forcefully took her to nearby sugarcane field and raped her, police said.
Following the incident, they also threatened her with dire consequences is she spoke about the incident to anyone, they said.
The girl has been sent for medical examination and a case has been registered against Latit Kumar and?Amit, police said, adding hunt is on to nab the absconding accused.
