Mittal reviews arrangements for dashboard launch

The Municipal Administration department will launch its own dashboard on June 2 this year on the occasion of the State Formation Day.

Municipal Administration Secretary Navin Mittal today held a review meeting with Municipal Administration Director Dr T K Sridevi and other officials on the arrangements made for the launch of the dash board. He said dedicated staff should be appointed for the purpose. He observed that the dash board would help monitor different schemes and services provided by the Municipal Administration department.

           

The dash board is an integrated monitoring system to evaluate the performance of different departments and programs under the department so as to ensure smooth functioning of administrative activities and achieving the goals of the State. The system integrates the data from various departments (C&DMA, MEPMA, TUFIDC and TMDP) and consolidated in the form of single dashboard given the multitude of various programs. The attachment of municipalities to the dash board is a revolutionary move in administrative reforms.

           

The dash board shows real time information on progress of various programmes of the concerned department. Comprehensive and detailed data can be viewed state wise, region wise, district wise and individual ULB wise. The system also provides information on the weaker sections and low performers. It helps in establishing integrated communication connectivity between concerned staff and the HOD in real time. Dashboard can give comparative and analytic reports to review the performance of each subject and operational works in all sections. HOD can directly send short message alert or can speak to the concerned staff mobile number by clicking the button. This establishes direct communication and alert to the staff to improve performance.

           

Dashboard can give insight on number of complaints received category wise, department wise, periodical receipt and redressal. Employee wise performance and response time to received complaints can be monitored in real time. The 18 municipal services as envisaged in the citizen charter would be closely monitored by the head office and the respective municipal offices so as to ensure transparency in the delivery mechanism. Citizen Service Centres will be set up in all the urban local bodies by the end of this month. The status of the various flagship schemes such as Telangana ku Harithahaaram and other such programmes can also be monitored through the dash board. (NSS)
