Where Modi sold tea: Vadnagar’s railway station to get a recondition

Vadnagar: The railway station of Vadnagar in Gujrat is all set to be repaired. The place is famous for the fact that PM Modi would sell tea along with his father at this station in his childhood days.

In accordance with a report by The Financial Express, Union Minister Manoj Sinha said that the station will be facelifted and a sum of 8 Crores has been sanctioned for its development in Mehsana District.

The Divisional Railway Manager of Ahmedabad while throwing more light on the details, told that entire project of adjoining several railway stations in Mehsana District will cost about a 100 crore.

Vadnagar’s station work is one of the components of the entire project, while Modhera and Patan are tourist destinations. The meter-gauge line on the Mehsana-Vadnagar route will be converted into the broad gauge line.

The minister also told that there will be soon running a number of good trains along with the passenger trains, a timetable has to be scheduled.
