Mumbai dabbawalas surprise office goers with KFC meals

Unhappy with the meal options out there? Look no further as KFC is all set to ‘Knock out all other meals’ with the launch of its biggest offering of the year, the 5-in-1 Meal Box.

Introducing its greatest offering of the year, the 5-in-1 Meal Box, KFC is all set to redefine the existing meal space in India by giving consumers the only complete meal option vis-à-vis the 3-item insufficient meals currently available at Rs Rs 149.

Mumbai’s dabbawalas teamed up with KFC to announce the launch of the latter’s new 5-in-1 Meal Box. The fast food restaurant worked with dabbawalas to deliver the box during lunch hour on Monday. Carrying KFC 5-in-1 Meal boxes for the first time ever, the dabbawalas made their way through the streets of the city to a wide section of influences, food lovers and media. The dabbawalas also surprised their existing customers with complimentary 5-in-1 Meal Boxes along with their ordinary meal.

“The 5-in-1 Meal Box is a complete and delightful meal built on the principles of abundance, variety and value. The insight was simple – people want more in less! Our new offering is the ‘perfect lunch meal’ consumers can opt for and we are thrilled to launch it in association with dabbawalas in Mumbai,” said Lluis Ruiz Ribot, CMO of KFC India. Mumbai’s Dabbawalas daily serve home-cooked food to over 200,000 Mumbaikars. They’ve also been the subject of a Harvard study and have been invited to attend a UK royal wedding.
