Murthy honoured with ISB Distinguished Fellowship

Hyderabad: Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy was conferred the ISB Honorary Distinguished Fellowship today.

Murthy is the first recipient of this fellowship instituted by the Indian School of Business.

The fellowship honours personalities of national and international eminence, who have contributed to society through their leadership and success and have inspired generations of people to achieve excellence in their respective fields of activity, according to an ISB statement.

“He (Murthy) has inspired many ISB students by agreeing to participate in the school’s activities and by being a benefactor to the school.

“The ISB has much in common with what Murthy espouses and respects his values and endeavours to nurture a spirit of entrepreneurship and make a positive impact on society,” Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, said.

Murthy has been closely engaged with the ISB as one of the key founding members and a member of the Executive Board and also as a member of the ISB Governing Board in the recent past.
