Naidu Says Govt Committed to Protect State’s Interests

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today asserted that the main aim of the government is to protest interests of the state.

           

He was addressing a public meeting after inauguration of a reservoir near Gollapalli village in Anantapur district. He said  water would be provided to all by inter-linking of rivers. ‘We brought 20 tmc water to Anantapur district’, he said. The chief minister said the government always committed for the welfare of poor and that is the reason they  have been implementing welfare programme despite financial crunch.

            

The newly inaugurated reservoir was named after late NTR.

           

The chief minister said after demonetization of notes,  the state government has incurred Rs 400 crore loss. H called upon the  people to switch over to cashless transactions.

           

Ministers Devineni Umamahshwar rao, Paritala Sunita, Kamineni Srinivas, chief whip Kalva Srinivasulu, MLAs Nandmuri Balakrishna, Parthsaradi, MLCs Vayyavula Keshsav and others attended the function.(NSS)
