Navin Mittal’s PS transferred after T staff protest

Hyderabad: A group of Telangana State employees today protested in front of the office of Finance Secretary Navin Mittal charging that his personal secretary Padmavati belonging to Andhra Pradesh was harassing them constantly.
The agitating Telangana employees alleged that Padmavathi was doing injustice to the Telangana employees and interfering with their promotions. They also damaged the name plate of Navin Mittal and raised slogans against Padmavati leading to mild tension in the office. They also demanded that the government send Padmavati to Andhra Pradesh.
However, Padmavati denied the allegation and said some officers were leveling baseless charges against her to cover up their mistakes. The agitating employees asked Padmavati to come out from the office and snatched her chair. Padmavati said if the allegations are proved, she was ready to resign. She said some colleagues were deliberately targeting her. She was allotted to Telangana as per norms and if allegations were proved against her, she was ready to resign from the post.
The agitators have refused to budge even after Navin Mittal invited them for talks and continued their protest. Then the government issued orders transferring Padmavathi to the Peshi of Government Advisor G R Reddy. (NSS)
