New milestone of 5 million mark sales hit by Maruti Suzuki Swift

New Delhi: Suzuki Moto Corp based of Japan has announced that the worldwide sales of Suzuki Swift have reached 5 million units. Launched in 2005, Swift has been a best seller through out the decade, while Swift DZire is India’s best selling sedan for the k last three years. India accounts for 54% of that number with 2.7 million units of hatchback Swift and its sedan version Swift DZire sold so far.

Now Maruti Suzuki plans on inaugurating 4,000 dealerships across the country. This goal will be achieved by the manufacturer by 2020. Maruti Suzuki has set for itself several goals for the near future and would like to accomplish them. New models will contribute to the sales target set by Maruti Suzuki for itself. Recently, the Vitara Brezza compact SUV was launched and will be followed by the Ignis model, which was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo.

By 2020, Maruti Suzuki plans on selling approximately 20 lakh models per year. The 4,000 dealerships will help the automobile manufacturer achieve this goal. Regular Maruti Suzuki and Nexa dealerships will be included in the overall goal.
