Nine “Good citizens” selected by Cyberabad police for awards

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have started the practice of recognizing the efforts of public and citizens whenever they went out of their way to help policing, catch criminals, maintain peace and order, or give vital information. Every quarterly, such ‘Good Citizens’ are identified and are awarded a ‘Good Citizen Certificate’ and a cash reward of Rs 1,000 by Commissioner of Police of Cyberabad. This is a part of an effort to involve the community in policing. This time, nine citizens were listed out, who in various ways, helped the Cyberabad Police.

Jakkula Srinu, S/o Narayanamurthy alias Narsimha Murthy, 40, a rickshaw worker (complainant) tried to caught offenders at the scene of offence. But the offenders escaped by causing gaping injuries to him.

On March 19, 2016, Kavali Mannem, s/o Chinnaiah, 29, auto driver, handed over a Laptop to the police which was forgotten by one Promod Kumar Behari s/o Dasarath Behari, 32, a Software Engineer of H.No. PD1 502, Arambh Township, Papireddy Colony, Chanadanagar, who boarded Kavli Mannem auto bearing No.. TS 07 UA 3077. Promod got down the auto by leavving his Laptop in the Auto. The honest auto driver handed over the Laptop in Police Station and the same was given to the complainant.

Syed Imran:- The said person supported the police when the communal incident was taken place in Indira Gandhi Puram, Fathenagar. He gives the information about the crime & law and order issue’s in area.

Golipally Sanjeev @ Sai Reddy:- The said person supported the police whenever the incident take place in the Bharathnagar area and he is the first person who intimate the issue to Police, he always used to help the Police while shifting unknown dead bodies.

Thagur Devender Singh @ Banti, S/o Baldev Singh, Occ: Auto Driver:- The said Banti residing in Ghatkesar and he is an auto driver. He helpful to police to transport the unknown dead bodies to PME at Gandhi hospital or any other hospitals in his own auto. He pickup the old age people and drop at their

residences or other places on free of cost. Further he helps the Police in all Law and order works and other programs.

Medchal Ramreddy, S/o Narsimha Reddy, age 35 yrs, Occ: Electriction:- He is giving yousfull information regularly to the Police.

Sri Bolla. Suresh S/o Anand, Age: 21 yers, Occ Student:- On 18.11.15 at 1930 hrs the complainant Smt. Katamaraju Vasantha W/o Shivakumar, age 65 yrs, Occ: House wife R/o Plot no-30, Kamalanagar, Vanasthalipuram proceeding from her residence to Shivalayam Temple at Dwarakamainagar by foot, on the way when she reached in front of Plot no-90 at Kamalanagar, meanwhile one offender Challa Goni Murali Krishna Raju, S/o Sathyanarayana, Age 25 years, R/o Plot No. 95, Road No. 4, Vaidehinagar, Vanasthalipuram came on motorcycle from her opposite and attempted to commit snatching and fled away from the spot. Mean time Sri Bolla. Suresh (rewardee) has caught red handed the offender Murali and apprehended the police. While enquiry the accused confessed committed old offences. As such 10 cases were detected and recovered total 20 tulas gold.

Smt Kamalamma, she is an old aged widow is native of shamshabad town. She is committed in doing service to the public at large and more helpful to the police. On number of occasions she gave temporary shelter to the missing / traced/ eloped girls and provided food to them till the arrival of parents or relatives. She also admitted the orphan girls and boys in rescue homes with her own expense and she is in constantly touch with them. She gives counseling in dowry harassment cases and sincerely tries to resolve their issues. She comes forward as a witness and regularly attends the court in deposing her evidence.
