No ban on animal slaughter – Hyderabad Collector pleads ignorance of press note

Hyderabd: Mr. Rahul Buja, Collector of Hyderabad District pleaded ignorance on the release of press note banning animal slaughter on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Talking to Siasat News, he said that he is totally ignorant of the notification issued by his office. Soon after he got this information, he clarified that no ban has been imposed on sacrificing animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. This practice would continue as per the last year without any interruption. He also clarified that his subordinates issued this press release without bringing it to his notice which would be investigated.

 

It may be noted that soon after the publication of this news, the readers of Siasat Urdu Daily made a series of telephone calls right from the morning.  Taking into consideration the anxiety of its readers, Siasat Urdu Daily contacted the Collector of Hyderabad immediately on which he clarified that in view of Eid-ul-Azha and Ganesh Festival no meeting of the officials was held and no instructions were issued to the officials of slaughter house in this regard.

 

The office of the Collector of Hyderabad issued a written clarification in which it was stated that in the press release issued yesterday routine orders were issued about the prevention of cruelty against animals and also the transportation of animals which have no bearing on the sacrifices arranged on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
