Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has decided to place the data base of all degree holders online for verification. Data from 2011 will be available for prospective employers so that they can check the credentials of any candidate online. Academic details such as marks secured besides personal details like parents’ names and the college they attended will be available.
Registrars and Controller of Examinations of all the universities in Telangana will meet soon to take a final decision on the issue. The TSCHE Chairman, T. Papi Reddy, claimed that the move aims at putting a curb on submission of fake degrees and credentials by the candidates to the employer.
