New York: Continuing to tear Obamacare apart, United States President Donald Trump has stated that he is proud to support the replacement plan released by the House of Representatives, a plan that was going to be much more understood and “popular” than that of his predecessor.

I feel sure that my friend @RandPaul will come along with the new and great health care program because he knows Obamacare is a disaster!

Speaking about the new heath care bill, Trump said that it will lower costs, expand choices, increase competition and ensure health care access for all Americans.
“We have to remember that Obamacare is collapsing and it’s in bad shape and were going to take action. there is going to be no slowing down, no waiting and no more excuses by anybody and we will get it done. If we wait two years, it will totally implode,” Trump said.

Further noting that he was proud to support the replacement plan released by the House of Representatives and encouraged by members of both parties, the President stated that the new plan follows the guidelines he laid out in his congressional address.

Earlier, the Republicans unveiled a bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with a plan that shrinks the government’s role in healthcare.

Called the American Health Care Act, the bill would eliminate the individual mandate, which required Americans to have health insurance or pay a fine; cut the number of people insured under Medicaid; and allow insurance companies to charge the elderly up to five times more than the young.

“The American Health Care Act is a plan to drive down costs, encourage competition, and give every American access to quality, affordable health insurance. It protects young adults, patients with pre-existing conditions, and provides a stable transition so that no one has the rug pulled out from under them. Working together, this unified Republican government will deliver relief and peace of mind to the millions of Americans suffering under Obamacare. This will proceed through a transparent process of regular order in full view of the public,” said House speaker Paul Ryan.

Patient advocacy groups were quick to attack the plan, pointing out that it is a far cry from plans promised by Trump. (ANI)
