Job Description
Minimum of 3 – 10 years professional Information Technology experience working in AS/400 System Operations and basic Administration activities.
At least one or more of these years working with large environments supporting over 3 systems/LPARs and 5,000 batch jobs annually in a high demand-based, service oriented environment.
ISeries System Operations
Candidate will be responsible for ISeries System Operations and basic Administration.
Backup & Recovery using BRMS/native commands
User Profile Management
Monitoring the JDE OneWorld/EnterpriseOne environment from the O/S perspective
Basic exposure JDE functionality deployment
System IPLs / PTF Management
Handling escalations and provide RCA for the same.
Execute Daily/Weekly tasks as per checklist
Check and maintain general system health.
Monitor third party tools on windows, like scheduling tools Control M, CA schedulers, Autosys, UC4.
Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
Provide technical support to team by Phone, email.
Exposure to JDE One World/Enterprise One environment on ISeries preferable
Exposure to FTP concepts on ISeries
Experience in HA replication software monitoring is required. Expertise in Data Mirror HA Suite would be advantageous.
User Profile Management
Knowledge of basic network technologies (TCP/IP)
Backup & Recovery using BRMS/Robot/native tools.
Exposure to installing and applying various types of PTFs.
Exposure to Robot modules like Scheduler/Console/ Network/Alert would be useful.
Ability to configure and setup devices, printers, etc.
Ability to foresee potential system issues and intimate higher ups well in advance.
