CLP leader K Jana Reddy has said that he was the leader opposed the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy for encouraging defections from the TRS party.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday along with party leaders, Jana Reddy said that the newly formed Telangana state was standing as a model in the nation for the party defections instead of model state. Rejecting the news reports published in the newspapers that he would quit all his positions and work as a common worker, Jana Reddy said that he would work for the sake of the party as a common worker in case the need arises. “I will not go back at this juncture where the party is facing bad phase. I strive hard to bring back the party to power in the coming 2019 elections”, he said adding that he would take the permission from the AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi in this regard. (NSS)
