Hyderabad: 377 candidates filed applications under Overseas Scholarship scheme for minority students in Telangana. However Minority Welfare is awaiting release of budget to implement the scheme. It is likely that the 3rd phase of the scheme could be delayed due to non-release of budget.
The applications for the schemes were called till November 26, for which 377 candidates submitted applications.
Secretary Minority welfare Syed Omer Jaleel told that the grant has been raised from earlier 10 lakh to 20 lakh rupees. Candidates who will get selected under third phase will get Rs. 20 lakh in two instalments.
