Owaisi takes on Mulayam, calls for ‘Jai Bhim, Jai Meem’

Faizabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday took on Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav in his bastion, saying his party would bring together the two most oppressed communities-the Dalits and the Muslims.

“We will write a new chapter in the state. The two most oppressed communities Dalits and Muslims should join hands on the slogan of ‘Jai Bhim, Jai Meem’,” Owaisi said while addressing an election rally ahead of Bikapur assembly by poll.

Coming down heavily on the father-son duo of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the Hyderabad MP alleged them of befriending Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not allowing Muslim leaders in the party to express their views.

He took a dig at Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, accusing them of befriending Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not allowing Muslim leaders in their party to speak up.

“At least 15 times in last three years I have been denied permission to visit the state, citing various reasons… Why are Mulayam and Akhilesh scared of me?” he asked.

Launching a tirade against the SP supremo, Owaisi said, “Why the Samajwadi Party chief invited Narendra Modi, man responsible for Gujarat carnage, to his place to attend a marriage ceremony”.

“All his family members were busy taking selfies on mobile phones with the Prime Minister,” he said.

“None of them ever raised even a single question for the community and whenever anyone tried to speak, they got a shut-up call from Mulayam,” he further said. (ANI)
