Petrol, diesel prices likely to go up in AP

Hyderabad: Petrol and diesel can be expensive in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu government has decided to increase petrol prices by Rs. 1 per litre, as road fund, to strengthen Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation. The decision is likely to fetch Rs. 600 Cr annual income.

Government of Andhra Pradesh plans to provide 900 Cr to Road Development Corporation to improve road network. Central government has decided to provide 200 Cr annually to the state as Central Road Cess. The state government will transfer this fund to Road Development Corporation which is responsible for road construction and repair.

Government will acquire further Rs. 100 Cr from National Highway Authority for construction of national highways this fund will also be given to Road Development Corporation.
