Ponnam demands CM to make his “secret meetings” with Guv public

Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reveal the secret of his meeting with Governor ESL Narasimhan frequently.

           

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Ponnam said people were speculating that the Chief Minister was meeting the Governor to discuss on black money. Stating that the Chief Minister’s meeting with Governor was not a private one and the Chief Minister has responsibility of revealing the facts of meeting. The Chief Minister has to make public the secret meetings agenda to the people.

Alleging that the Mission Kakatiya scheme has become a money minting machine for contractors, Ponnam said the Mission Kakatiya works were launched only in 10,000 tanks out of 48,000. He alleged that the State government making false publicity stating that the Mission Kakatiya scheme has become 100 percent success. The TRS government was including the works executed during the previous Congress regime in its account, he asserted. Demanding that the State government release a white paper on Mission Kakatiya works, Ponnam said he was ready to prove irregularities in the Mission Kakatiya works and threw a challenge to Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao for an open debate on the subject.
