Physical Research Laboratory, PRL, announces Junior Research Fellowship Programme for 2015 session. Junior Research Fellowships programme starting in July 2015 will lead to a PhD in the broad areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Planetary Sciences, Geosciences, Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Experimental Laser and Atomic Physics and Theoretical Physics
The JRF Programme will start from July 2015
Eligibility Criteria Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences of related disciplines in sciences with first class or equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels
Master’s degree award should be on or after August 2013
Those students expecting a Master’s degree by August 2015 are also eligible to apply
Fellowship: The selected candidates will be offered a consolidated amount of Rs.16, 000/- per month for two years which will be raised to Rs.18, 000/- in the third year subject to satisfactory academic review Refer to the website www.prl.res.in for details regarding current research areas, eligibility criteria, research fellowship, selection procedure etc
Age Limit: 25 years as on 31st December, 2014 (born on or after 31st December, 1989)

Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date and not wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection / local server issues/power failure etc.
A valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for registration. E-mail ID should be kept active. Status of successful mandatory will be sent through the registered e-mail ID.
Candidates are requested to fill in the online application form without atmost care as no modifications will be allowed after submitting the application form.
