Prof. Haragopal condemns the encouragement of Foreign Universities in India

Hyderabad: Addressing a Round Table Conference on “Education Policy 2016” organized by Seva Education Society at Sudariah Vigyana Kendram, Bagh Lingampally, Prof. Haragopal that for the past few years Modi Govt. is promoting Foreign Universities in the countries in the name of Modernization of education which is posing serious dangers to the linguistic and cultural threats to our nation.

 

He advised the Center and State Govt. to introduce job oriented professional courses in order to eradicate unemployment. He said that the establishment of foreign universities may benefit corporate sector. It will affect the education of educationally backward communities. He also said that the Central and State Governments are polluting the education system under the pretext of upgrading education up to universal standard. He opined that Indian Education Service is autonomous but Modi Govt. is exerting its control after assuming power which is affecting education system of our country.

 

He informed that the Seva Education Society of Telangana has prepared a comprehensive report on the required reforms in the education system which envisages strengthening of Govt. educational system in schools at Mandal levels. The Govt. should concentrate on providing basic infrastructure and to promote linguistic civilization. Govt. should introduce new professional courses in order to curb the increasing unemployment of the educated youths. President of Society, Prof. D. Chakradhar Rao, Mr. D. Lakshma Reddy and others attended the conference.
